Welcome to Northeast India! Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to Shillong, the scenic capital of Meghalaya. En route, enjoy a breathtaking view of the serene Umiam Lake (Barapani) – a perfect spot for photography and optional speed boat rides (at an additional cost).
On reaching Shillong, visit some of the city’s top attractions, including the Don Bosco Museum (Asia's largest cultural museum), Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Lady Hydari Park, and the picturesque Ward’s Lake (subject to time availability).
Later, check in to your hotel in Shillong. Relax and enjoy an overnight stay surrounded by the cool climate and charm of the hills.
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, begin your journey to Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, known for its lush green landscapes and spectacular waterfalls.
En route, you may opt to visit the Shillong Peak (subject to additional charges due to local taxi union), offering a panoramic view of Shillong city and the surrounding hills.
Next, visit the stunning Elephant Falls, named after a rock shaped like an elephant, and one of the most visited waterfalls in Meghalaya.
Continue your scenic drive to Cherrapunji. On arrival, explore top tourist spots including:
Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point – A breathtaking gorge offering mesmerizing valley views.
Dainthlen Falls – A majestic waterfall with an interesting local legend.
Wei Sawdong Waterfall – A beautiful three-tiered waterfall (requires a short trek).
Mawsmai Cave – One of the most accessible limestone caves in Meghalaya, with impressive rock formations.
Spend your evening enjoying the tranquil surroundings and misty weather of Cherrapunji. Overnight stay at your hotel in Cherrapunji.
Start your adventure at 6 AM from Tyrna Village (10 km from Cherrapunjee, Sohra) for a 5-6 hour trek to the iconic Double Decker Root Bridge in Nongriat, nestled in Meghalaya’s lush forests. Conquer 3,000 steps with a local guide (cost excluded). Optionally, extend your hike by 60 minutes to the stunning Rainbow Falls. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee, a haven of waterfalls and natural beauty.
After breakfast, embark on a scenic journey from Shillong to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village (awarded in 2003). Enjoy a short trek through this charming village, visiting the Balancing Rock, Sky Viewpoint (Nohwet Viewpoint), and the iconic Living Root Bridge. Savor a delicious local lunch in Mawlynnong.
Next, head to Dawki, a hidden gem on the India-Bangladesh border. Marvel at the crystal-clear Umngot River, one of India’s cleanest rivers, and enjoy optional boating (additional cost). Return to Shillong for a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out from your Shillong hotel and head to Guwahati. Upon arrival, explore local markets for unique souvenirs and handicrafts. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey. Your Meghalaya tour ends with unforgettable memories of its scenic beauty, living root bridges, and vibrant culture.
